Description

Stephen Mwangi displays his wares, commonly known as Akala shoes, made from old tires for sale in Eldoret town on May 13, 2013. A pair goes for between Sh180 and Sh200. Deputy President William Ruto, during a function in Ziwa, Uasin Gishu County at the weekend, reiterated the government’s plans to give youths and women who form groups the Sh6bn they promised during the General Elections campaigns, aimed at empowering them.
